14.   Farther east, scattered thunderstorms will occur near the Appalachians and the Southeast coast.

15.   Farther north, scattered thunderstorms will occur in the Dakotas, especially where winds from the east ascend the hilly terrain.

16.   If a severe thunderstorm may occur within minutes, local National Weather Service meteorologists will issue a severe thunderstorm warning.

17.   In the Northeast, scattered showers will develop over the interior, and a thunderstorm will occur in a few spots.

18.   Isolated thunderstorms will also occur in the northern Plains ahead of an approaching cool front.

19.   Isolated strong thunderstorms will occur in northeast Texas while the rest of Texas is sunny and rather warm.

20.   Isolated thunderstorms could occur as a jet stream disturbance passes overhead.
