11.   They argued in their statement that, apart from revoking the decrees, the Assembly should immediately elect a caretaker president or presidium.

12.   They also agreed Minister of Finance Fuad Bawazier should have considered various legal aspects before issuing or revoking the decree.

13.   He said he hoped the decree could be revoked as soon as possible.

14.   The author of the parliamentary text, reformist deputy Vladimir Chimeris told AFP that deputies could turn to the constitutional court to get the decree revoked.

15.   The hostage-takers also urged Ankara to revoke a decree under which political prisoners can be transferred to penitentiaries and isolated from other prisoners.
