11.   Last October German Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel urged Russia and other ex-Soviet republics to return art treasures seized by the Red Army.

12.   Russia has demanded that Germany return art treasures stolen by Nazi troops on the territory of the former Soviet Union during the war.

13.   The Greek government immediately asked for the treasures to be returned to Greece.
