11.   Fill the pots with sandy soil or a light potting mix that contains plenty of perlite.

12.   Fertilize weakly, weekly, and repot every two to three years in the spring before the potting mix breaks down.

13.   Finish adding the potting mix and wet it thoroughly.

14.   Half-fill the container with pebbles or a potting mix.

15.   In individual pots, pack bulbs close together near the surface of the potting mix.

16.   Keep the potting mix moist but not wet.

17.   Move the rooted cutting into its own pot, using a light potting mix with plenty of peat and vermiculite, and grow it in a sunny window.

18.   The clay soil inside the beds I emended with compost, perlite and coarse sand until it had the tilth of a good potting mix.

19.   The potting mix may settle lower after watering and you may need to add more.

20.   Use a sterilized potting mix.
