11.   The committee said that five of its pickups and two motorcycles were stolen by unknown armed men from its office compound in the Afghan capital of Kabul.

12.   The workers, who had not previously been allowed into government offices, entered the office compound earlier in the day and gathered around the entrance to one building.

13.   On Wednesday, paramilitary and city police forcibly removed several hundred protesters from inside a city government office compound and dispersed many more outside.
