11.   Strain custard mixture through a fine mesh strainer and divide evenly among ramekins.

12.   Transfer to a blender, puree well, then pass through a fine mesh strainer.

13.   When smoke has subsided, remove tomatoes and transfer to a mesh strainer and place over bowl or sink.
