A slow-moving storm over the St. Lawrence Valley will circulate moisture into the higher terrain of New England and this will produce snow showers. 18. A stalled storm with its persistent cold, moist flow from the north has produced the record snowfall on the higher terrain of western South Dakota. 19. Ahead of the front, a few potent thunderstorms will develop in the warm air over the Bitterroots as well as the higher terrain of northern Wyoming. 20.
