11.   Thailand exports high quality -- fragrant rice and ordinary white rice -- while Vietnam exports lower-grade rice such as broken rice and parboiled rice.

12.   The Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry has plans to develop Thung Kula, the drought area in the Northeast into fertile farmland for growing plants, especially fragrant rice.

13.   The budget is set to provide fragrant rice seed to farmer involved inthe project.

14.   The export-quota measure will apply to crude palm oil, maize, animal feed and rice, excluding fragrant rice, if export volumes still rise.
