11.   Clouds and thundershowers will be especially persistent from the eastern slopes of the southern Appalachians to the South Carolina coast.

12.   Clouds will be most persistent near the Middle Atlantic coast and near the eastern slopes of the central Appalachians as moist breezes from the ocean become established.

13.   Clouds will expand from the eastern slopes of the central Rockies into the southern Plains.

14.   Clouds and some showers will develop near the eastern slopes of the central Rockies and western Plains where moist breezes ascend the sloping terrain.

15.   Cooler winds from the east will ascend the sloping terrain near the eastern slopes of the central and southern Rockies, promoting clouds and scattered thundershowers.

16.   Converging winds near a strengthening low-pressure center will cause showers and some strong thunderstorms from the eastern slopes of the northern Rockies early Friday to the Dakotas Saturday night.

17.   Cooling can be particularly dramatic on eastern slopes, which are shielded from the rays of the setting sun.

18.   Damp winds will ascend the Rocky Mountains, yielding snow showers along the eastern slopes.

19.   Early morning clouds and patchy snow will occur near the eastern slopes of the Rockies in Colorado.

20.   Farther north, locally heavy rain with thunderstorms will occur from the eastern slopes of the northern Rockies to the northern Mississippi Valley.
