11.   Malaysia Thursday told the leader of a local missionary group outlawed for allegedly spreading deviationist Islamic teachings to return home from self-imposed exile, repent and stay free.

12.   The Al-Arqam was banned in August for its allegedly deviationist Islamic teachings and practices.

13.   The crackdown was the second against Al-Arqam communes since the sect was banned for spreading what the government considers deviationist Islamic teachings.

14.   The Islamic Center singled it out earlier this year for deviationist teachings, including a belief that a messiah will come before an appointed doomsday.

15.   The movement was last month outlawed by the predominantly-Moslem Malaysian government for practising what the clergy considers deviationist teachings of the Islamic faith.
