91. The Philippine navy chief said Friday that diplomacy, not armed confrontation, will solve territorial conflicts among the countries claiming islands in the South China Sea. 92. The South China Sea islands are also claimed by Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and Taiwan. 93. The three islands are claimed by both Iran and the Emirates. 94. The two countries continue to claim an island near their shores, while the fate of Malaysian railway land in Singapore remains unresolved after years of discussions. 95. The two countries have not signed a peace treaty formally ending World War II because each claims the islands. 96. Tokyo claims the islands, which it calls the Northern Territories. 97. Yemen and Eritrea both claim the islands. 98. All three such islands are claimed by Taiwan which has also stationed troops there. 99.
