8.   A surge of wintry chill will spread from the northern Rockies Wednesday to the northern Plains Wednesday night and Thursday.

9.   A wintry chill will linger across the Northeast on Saturday, particularly over interior sections.

10.   But air aloft often lingers in a wintry chill.
