1.   Gloucester still the only unbeaten team.

2.   Certainly Middlesbrough are capable of living with any of the teams in division with the exception of Bury, the only unbeaten team in the league.

3.   An unbeaten Vols team, at that.

4.   And then Ohio State, which had its own misstep against Michigan, knocked off the only other unbeaten team, Arizona State, in the Rose Bowl.

5.   Any of the teams above them could lose and the Hokies could be the lone unbeaten team in the country, which would almost guarantee a Sugar Bowl berth.

6.   Anthony Pendelton, who would go on to play at USC, was a junior on that unbeaten team.

7.   As one of only two unbeaten teams left in the CWS, Texas would have to lose twice to the Cardinal not to advance.

8.   Assistant coach Tom McVie joked around, trying to keep his players loose as they prepared to play the only unbeaten team in the National Hockey League.

9.   Before long, the Rose Bowl will become part of the Bowl Alliance, thus sparing the nation the horror of having unbeaten teams playing on opposite coasts.
