2.   As the intense rays of the June sun heat the interior, rising currents of hot air develop, resulting in a lowering of the surface air pressure.

3.   As the storm strengthened later in the day, rising currents of air lowered temperatures at cloud level, changing the icy mixture to just snow.

4.   As the potent July sun heats the muggy air, rising currents of air will produce billowy cumulus clouds, a few of which will yield afternoon thunderstorms.

5.   But as the potent July sun heats the ground, rising currents of air will cause puffy cumulus clouds to form in the afternoon.

6.   Farther south, rising currents of moist air will induce tall cumulus clouds to form from the Gulf Coast to northern Florida.

7.   However, isolated, high elevation showers may develop as the mountain peaks act as a source of heat to buoy rising currents of air.

8.   In the southern Appalachians, the mountains will act as an elevated source of heat for rising air currents, which will eventually blossom into isolated thunderstorms.

9.   Meanwhile, thunderstorms will develop over the peaks of the southern Rockies, where the uneven heating of mountains and valleys promotes rising currents of moist air.

10.   Rapidly rising currents of air result, causing clouds with embedded bands of precipitation to form.
