The lodge also has a broad veranda that looks over a vast expanse of open range land. 7. The situation is especially dire on the Navajo Reservation, where wells are drying up and range lands sit barren. 8. This year, the Legislature again passed a measure barring non-ranchers from bidding on range land. 9. Anchored in a sea of range land, the town seems removed from the world. 10. Animal rights activists are objecting to a Bureau of Land Management plan to corral herds of wild horses from range land singed by summer wildfires. |
