1.   The governing party controls two-thirds of the parliament.

2.   The party controls both in great detail.

3.   Although the party controls the Lower House, it desperately needs more votes in the Upper House.

4.   Although religious parties control the Culture Ministry, state subsidies remain intact even for art the religious would refuse to see.

5.   And while California may hold the key to the presidential race, the outcome of its congressional races may also determine which party controls the House.

6.   And there is a possibility Americans may not know which party controls the House for a month.

7.   And what happens in Texas this year, could determine which party controls the House.

8.   At a minimum, the opening flurry will help determine which party will control Congress and the White House into the next century.

9.   Bosnian Croat leaders have said they will never fully cooperate with a national government if the Muslim party controls the state security apparatus.

10.   Bond traders would like to see one party control the White House and the other party control at least one house of the Congress.
