1. A strengthening disturbance will produce intermittent snow over the northern Rockies. 2. Clouds and intermittent snow will accompany a fast-moving low pressure area as it moves southeast from Michigan toward the central Appalachians. 3. East of the Cascades, showers will develop in the valleys while intermittent snow occurs in the mountains of northern Idaho and western Montana. 4. Farther north, intermittent light snow will dust the slopes of northern Colorado and Utah. 5. Farther east, a mixture of intermittent snow, ice and rain will cover far northern Minnesota and southwestern Ontario. 6. Farther north, intermittent snow will occur from the eastern Great Lakes to southern Ontario. 7. Farther east, intermittent snow will occur from the southern Sierra to the mountains of northern Arizona and Utah. 8. In the West, intermittent snow will be common from the Cascades to the northern Rockies as moist air ascends the sloping terrain. 9. In the West, intermittent snow will whiten the southern Rockies, while the West Coast states stay dry and cool. 10. Intermittent light snow will persist, especially where breezes ascend the sloping terrain. |
