1.   Additional security measures include a team of state police, bomb-sniffing dogs and National Guard troops scattered around the festival grounds to ward off any potential problems.

2.   Complementing the pageant is the juried fine-art exhibit on the festival grounds.

3.   During the Kansas City fair, many full-time rennies live in a secluded, well-ordered encampment on the periphery of the festival grounds in Bonner Springs.

4.   More than a few were enjoying a final tailgate party replete with the alcohol that is officially banned on festival grounds.

5.   No doubt some of the people out to hear Sanborn or Lovano will also sample homegrown sounds on the festival grounds.

6.   Once again, I board the trolley for the ride up the hill to the festival grounds.

7.   The entire lakeshore turns into one huge festival ground with shows, concerts, parades, food stalls, etc.

8.   The organizers sampled the food at noon before taking it to the festival grounds.

9.   Transportation is provided between the depot and the festival grounds.

10.   The children then apparently began throwing stones at a bee hive in the roof of a building near the festival grounds.
