1.   Bush endorsed a bill proposed by Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan. and Mary Landrieu, D-La., that would ban reproductive and research cloning.

2.   But Bush this week endorsed a bill that would go much further, preventing the creation of cloned human embryos that are used for research, rather than reproduction.
