1.   Some Neanderthals continue to resist the education reform bill.

2.   An education bill approved by the Senate Wednesday includes a provision sponsored by Sen. Connie Mack, R-Fla., encouraging teacher testing and merit pay for educators.

3.   And George Bush has just pushed through an education bill that should eventually make schools more accountable for their results.

4.   At that time, we all pledged to work together to pass an education reform bill that would raise school accountability and improve student achievement.

5.   Aware that the Democrats have an edge with the public on that issue, they have changed direction and put forward their own education bills.
