1.   KUWAIT was in the thick of battle last night as leading oil producers tried to hammer out a deal which would prevent prices collapsing when winter demand drops.

2.   And when demand suddenly drops off, the lack of storage options mean many gas shippers still have to sell their gas.

5.   Companies hold on to workers, even when demand drops off, leading to hours worked declining more slowly than output produced.

7.   Demand has dropped as corporations cut their work force during the recession and moved staff out of town to lower-cost suburban offices.

8.   Demand is dropping from Asia, the largest importer of agricultural products, as the economies of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and elsewhere slow.

9.   Demand would drop, depressing real estate values.

10.   Even so, publishers find it hard to pay any more for a commodity when demand is dropping.
