3.   A few showers or even a thunderstorm will dampen parts of the western lower Mississippi Valley.

4.   A broken area of showers will dampen parts of the Great Lakes and northern Mississippi Valley, especially in the afternoon.

5.   A larger area of showers in the upper Plains will dampen parts of the Dakotas and Minnesota.

6.   A chill rain will dampen parts of the Gulf Coast.

7.   A few showers will dampen parts of the Tennessee Valley.

8.   A period of chilly rain will dampen parts of the Northeast on Tuesday as a swift jet stream disturbance pivots east-northeast from the upper Ohio River Valley.

9.   But areas of light snow will dust parts of the Great Lakes and eastern Plains states, while patchy showers and drizzle dampen parts of coastal Texas.

10.   Clouds and showers will also dampen parts of the northern Rockies.
