1.   Blacks, particularly black males, are underrepresented in medical schools across the country.

2.   Although the words may sound harsh or even anti-woman, they place the black male at the center of a world that he has permitted to implode.

3.   An Austin program that addresses several of those goals is called Project MAN, which works with young black males to help them avoid becoming victims.

4.   And now there is O.J. Simpson, whom no one thought of in racial terms but who is now seen as the symbol of the violent black male.

5.   And what I have to say about it is there have been three more black males killed.

6.   Anxiety about the economy had fueled resistance to affirmative action and rising crime, with its attendant images of young black males, has exacerbated racial tension.

7.   Any black male will do.

8.   As a black male in America, you always have to consider, if I go here, how will I be received.

9.   Baseball, unlike football and basketball, has resisted the takeover by black males.

10.   Beneath that firmness, however, are a vision and a willingness to save troubled young black males.
