1.   Always use a base coat to even out the nail surface and to prevent dark polishes staining.

2.   Apply the glaze with a brush, in a thin coat so that the base coat is visible.

3.   Before painting on the base coat or the glaze, consider the effect that you want to achieve.

4.   Black can be effective with a red base coat.

5.   Expose more of the base coat in the center of flat surfaces.

6.   First, apply a clear base coat to strengthen the nail and prevent pigmentation from seeping in and discoloring it.
