1.   BellSouth Corp., USAirways, Washington Mutual Inc. and Verizon Wireless signed on as sponsors this year, joining Coca-Cola, Coors Brewing Co. and others.

2.   Bud Moore, another longtime fixture, lost his sponsor a few years back and, unable to put anything solid together, has dropped out.

3.   Major sponsors this year include the Coca-Cola Co., the Fulton County Arts Council, DaimlerChrysler, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.

8.   The USC team is fortunate in that it picked up a sponsor this year.

9.   Brewer Anheuser-Busch will be the biggest sponsor this year with five minutes of ads.

10.   Major Events New Zealand said it will help Rally NZ ensure the event goes ahead despite a loss of its sponsor this year.
