1.   Kournikova won the Italian juniors this year and also reached the semifinals at Wimbledon and the quarterfinals at the French Open.

2.   Quann will be a junior this year at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Wash.

3.   Take Jodi Gels, who as a junior this year helped St. Henry to a Division IV girls state volleyball championship.

4.   Both recently completed their junior years at Dan Kook University.
