1.   Hold the tank ball or flapper out of the way and wipe the rim of the opening with a damp rag.

2.   Wipe jar rims and adjust lids.

3.   Wipe rim with thumb.

4.   Wipe jar rims.

5.   Wipe sealing rims of jars.

6.   Wipe rims with dampened cloth and seal jars with lids.

7.   Wipe rims clean with a damp towel.

8.   Tobin said the CDC has regularly reviewed the practice of sharing the communion cup and the practice has little health risk if the rim is wiped after each use.
