2.   Festina quickly won the jersey this year when Christophe Moreau, a Frenchman who finished fourth in the last Tour, triumphed in the prologue on Saturday.

3.   He won the jersey Sunday on the first bumps in the otherwise flat road through northern France and lost it Monday on a few more small hills.
