1.   Its west faade was rebuilt in the eighteenth and also in the nineteenth century.

2.   Both west faade and eastern chevet are outstanding here, while the interior is simpler.

3.   The west faade is more richly decorated with sculpture than is usual in England.

4.   The cruciform plan was adopted, a high vaulted nave and choir, with one or more flanking aisles, an eastern chevet and richly ornamented west faade.

5.   Beautiful examples of the single-towered west faade are the Minsters at Ulm and Freiburg.

6.   The west faade is fifteenth century and typical of Swiss Gothic work.

7.   The west faade, which is the later part of the building, shows the complex flying buttress system on either side which extends all round.

8.   It is an immense brick church, dominating the town, with its octagonal tower and steeple and tall west faade, nave and choir.
