1.   After play Friday, course superintendent Scott Hamilton had his crews cutting the greens and fairways and watering the greens but definitely not drowning them.

2.   The plan was to water the green, to mow it a little higher and to reduce the traffic walking on the green during practice rounds.

3.   The USGA watered the green constantly Wednesday and refrained from mowing it since Tuesday morning, but many like David Duval noticed no benefit.
