1.   A simple weaving shed or thread separator is used to raise and lower the warp threads through which the weft is woven.

2.   The warp thread is wound round the pegs and two large and two small shuttles used for weaving the weft.

3.   Meanwhile, four spools on a circular track make up the weft, or cross threads, spinning through the hundreds of warp threads to weave the bag.

4.   Other threads, called the weft, pass under and over at right angles to the warp threads.

5.   The weavers then passed the different-colored threads that were wrapped around a hand-held shuttle in between the even and odd warp threads.
