1.   Another alternative is to get an Internet call waiting device that connects to your phone line between your modem and telephone wall jack.

2.   -- Did you put a nail into the wall above a wall jack or rearrange things in the attic area?

3.   Check your handset plugs as well as the plug into the wall jack.

4.   In concrete-slab construction -- most homes -- the telephone wiring is in the attic and comes down between two wood studs to the wall jack.

5.   My basic trouble-shooting consisted of trying the same phone in each wall jack in the house, then trying another phone in each wall jack.

6.   Try another phone in the wall jack where you seemed to have the problem and see if it works.
