1.   The voters just want good government and less taxes.

2.   A referendum showed beyond doubt that voters wanted independence.

3.   Many voters want to see some reduction of the deficit.

4.   Civil disobedience to obtain what the voters want has been used most effectively in poll tax demonstrations and non-payment campaigns.

5.   Voters do not want to see the Tories achieve their ultimate goal the destruction of the NHS, the welfare state and a return to Victorian-style society.

6.   Although voters clearly wanted to send a message to Washington, there is little evidence that they were endorsing a Republican agenda.

7.   And both realize that voters want them to work with a Democratic president.

8.   And surely voters cannot have wanted that.

9.   And that, it seems, was what the voters wanted.

10.   And those are the issues voters want to hear about.
