1.   As flashback overshadows flashback, and as Solange reprises the victim role once played by Jeanne, the circumstances of the murder become fuzzier.

2.   She overplays the victim role, but we wish her well anyway.

3.   The screenplay is smart enough to make sure Paltrow is handed more than a victim role.

4.   This is just one more way to demean black people and put them in the victim role.
