1.   British boxing supporters claimed a victory when Daniel Jimenez of Puerto Rico upset holder Alfred Kotey of Ghana to claim the WBO bantamweight title on a unanimous points decision.

2.   Jimenez won the WBO bantamweight title in London a week after the Docherty-Murray bout, upsetting holder Alfred Kotey of Ghana.

3.   Some medal holders were so upset by the choice of recipients that they returned theirs.
