1.   At his UCSF office, he gets lots of unmarked envelopes with interesting contents.

2.   It arrived in an unmarked envelope.

3.   Then last fall, copies of all the files he was searching for arrived in an unmarked envelope.

4.   I could only imagine that the money, in a plain unmarked envelope, had fallen out at the Supreme Court.
