6.   The left turn lanes would be equipped with pressure-sensitive plates to indicate which cars are eligible to make left turns after the light turns red.

7.   Then the police flip a switch and the light turns red, as if Vulcan himself were mourning.

8.   Suddenly, a bell chimes a death toll, crowds roar, and the screen turns bright red.
