1.   Cracked or whole corn is relished by blue jays and doves and can be offered on tray feeders.

2.   Try starting out with sunflower seeds, which can be used on tray feeders, and in hopper feeders and tube feeders as well.

3.   Tray feeders mounted on a post or on the side of a house are good for bigger birds.

4.   White millet is best used on a tray feeder where mourning doves, sparrows, juncos, finches will eat it up.
