1.   The trapped water pools and backs up under the shingles, where it can leak into the house.

2.   They will help prevent trapped water from going up and under the shingles.

3.   And trapped water is hard to get rid of.

4.   Drain the pasta and broccoli, shaking the colander vigorously to release any trapped water.
