1.   Industrial machinery, computer and other electronic equipment, chemicals, scientific instruments and transportation equipment lead the export list.

2.   All types of transportation equipment other than railroad items eased, the department said.

3.   But new orders for items other than transportation equipment were lower for the second consecutive month.

4.   Companies that make everything from transportation equipment to electrical and general machines to precision instruments to textiles are seeing their export earnings in yen rise.

5.   Excluding transportation equipment, orders actually rose.

6.   Gains were recorded, however, in instrument manufacturing, transportation equipment, petroleum and chemicals, lumber, printing, and publishing.

7.   In a compromise, electrical equipment and housing supplies were added to the list but telecommunications and transportation equipment was mentioned as something to be considered in the future.

8.   Leading Georgia-Germany exports are paper products, transportation equipment and industrial and computer equipment.

9.   Non-electric machinery, transportation equipment, medical and biotechnological equipment, and environmental technology also contributed to the export growth, Woods said.
