1.   From here, the muddy trail drops in and out of the stream north through Santa Ynez Canyon for a half-mile to the aforementioned signpost.

2.   From the trailhead at Pantoll on the western slopes of Mount Tamalpais, the trail drops into a deep canyon with lush, extraordinary beauty.

3.   The beach trail drops abruptly into a steep, enclosed forested ravine, bedecked by ferns with one giant fallen tree forming a bridge over the path.

4.   The trail then drops into Dowd Canyon, passes a few dry creek beds and runs up along a ridge before dropping again into Green Valley.

5.   Then the trail dropped down into the ravine itself.

6.   This is an extraordinary sight, where the trail drops right off into the ocean.
