1.   The University of Houston canceled its traditional Homecoming bonfire this year because of the drought-related ban on open fires throughout Harris County.

2.   And gunmen operating from an apartment block in the Catholic New Lodge area later shot two Protestant teen-agers as they celebrated around a traditional Orange bonfire.

3.   Most Norwegians did not have their traditional bonfire, but some held on to the traditional celebration in their boats in the Norwegian fjords.

4.   Then, they officially ended with a closing ceremony illuminated by fireworks over the city, the orange flames of traditional bonfires and lanterns held aloft.
