1.   A wedge of very warm, moist air over the lower Mississippi Valley and western Gulf Coast will be the environment for severe thunderstorm development later in the day.

2.   Drier air and sinking air currents behind the front will stymie thunderstorm development in the lower Ohio and Tennessee valleys.

3.   On the southern periphery of this high, a moist flow from the southeast will encourage thunderstorm development over the mountains of Wyoming.

4.   The sultry air mass behind the warm front will be ripe for thunderstorm development.

5.   A disturbance in the upper atmosphere prompted this thunderstorm development across the east this morning.

6.   Showers and light rain will intermittantly affect the Virgin Islands and the eastern third of Puerto Rico...With warmer temperatures along western Puerto Rico allowing for thunderstorm development.

7.   This low will drift southeast through Tuesday and will continue to enhance shower and thunderstorm development across the region.

8.   This will act to enhance shower and thunderstorm development across the region again this afternoon and into tonight.

9.   This will cause the thunderstorm development to shift farther to the north part of the island.

10.   This should initiate shower and thunderstorm development across portions of the interior and coastal plains with heavy rainfall always a possibility during this time of year.
