1.   Cook mixture over medium heat until sugar dissolves and comes to a rolling boil and liquid is slightly thickened.

2.   Cook, stirring and scraping the pan with a wire whisk, until the liquid is slightly thickened.

3.   Scott must eat pureed foods, such as pasta, or thickened liquids.

4.   The steam coaxes out starch from the corn, which helps to thicken the liquid into a silky sauce.
