1.   Other adverse reactions due to systemic absorption, such as hypoglycaemia, rash, and acute renal failure, are rare.

2.   Studies with intragastric titration have noted an immediate acid secretory response to ethanol instillation before systemic absorption can occur.

3.   After the intake of azo-bound drugs, the mucosal concentrations are very low despite a low systemic absorption.
