1. It is only from the Restoration that we find surviving examples of statues in National Trust gardens. 2. The classic surviving example of this pattern is the Church of S. Martin at Frmista, which is roughly half-way between Burgos and Len on the route. 3. Other surviving examples remain at Lom, Kaupanger, Fantoft and in the Oslo Museum. 4. Most numerous surviving examples come from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. 5.
