1.   Near the Canadian border, clouds will limit surface heating, thereby reducing the risk of severe thunderstorms over northern Minnesota and parts of North Dakota.

2.   Possible showers this afternoon will be produced by a combination of southerly flow and daytime surface heating.

3.   Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected during this afternoon due mainly to the surface heating and sea breeze influences.

4.   Surface heating and sea breeze effects will produce thunderstorms out west, but the main focus will be over the southwest since the winds are out of the northeast.

5.   The heaviest showers and thunderstorms will be over the west this afternoon enhanced by surface heating and sea breeze effects.
