1.   The external walls of the churches are decorated simply by pilaster strips and corbelled string courses with arcading, as in Lombardy.

2.   The decoration is in simple string courses and in painting of the doors and windows.

3.   Every building is still trimmed in white, and these string courses of snow change the architecture, making it both crisper and more gentle.
