1.   Desperate for some success, I set the timer and tried it, using a standing mixer.

2.   In mixing bowl, beat eggs with hand mixer or standing mixer until frothy.

3.   In the bowl of a standing electric mixer fitted with the padt-fitting lid.

4.   Using a paddle attachment for a standing mixer or a hand-held electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar at medium speed until the sugar is no longer visible.
