1.   Both the centrifugal force and the apparently spinning stars would be indications that the merry-go-round is, in fact, turning on its axis.

2.   Collapsed spinning stars called pulsars send out electromagnetic blips with such regularity that they were once mistaken for alien beacons.

3.   The centrifugal force of the more rapidly spinning star slings out material in the equatorial plane.

4.   They were identified with the orbiting gas and the spinning star, although theorists have later come up with alternative explanations.
